Adopt a Vehicle
Have you or your family got a favourite vehicle in The Bus Collection? You can adopt it by putting your name on a piece of history and supporting our preservation and educational goals, while building a bright long-term future for The Bus Collection.
By adopting a vehicle yourself, or as a gift for a special someone, you are contributing towards the care of our collection and safeguarding the museum for the future.
Adopting a vehicle for a year gives you the following benefits:
• A digital certificate to recognise your Adoption for the year.
• A complimentary ticket to The Bus Collection for yourself to visit your vehicle (if you are a member, you can give this to a friend to bring them with you on a visit.
• A name of your choice displayed with the object label when it is on display, and on our online collections page.
• Free copy of the Trust Newsletter which provide updates on what is happening at The Bus Collection. (Note: Copies of the Newsletter will be sent to you electronically)
ADOPT A VEHICLE – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All revenue generated by the ‘Adopt A Vehicle’ scheme will be used to support Aberdeen and District Transport Preservation Trust, a registered charity (SC037877).
• Annual adoption of an individual vehicle per person is £50.00
• Money raised via the ‘Adopt A Vehicle’ scheme will be used to support the Trust as a whole and is therefore not restricted or allocated to the upkeep or restoration of specific vehicles which have been sponsored.
• Available to buy online or in person, certificates of adoption will be sent by email only.
• Adoption lasts 12 months from the day of purchase.
• Multiple people can adopt the same vehicle.
• Refunds and exchanges cannot be made.
• ‘Adopt a Vehicle’ is a fundraising venture for the charity, and the benefits are listed on the website and at point of purchase.
• The ‘Adopt A Vehicle’ scheme does not affect the ownership of the vehicles. All vehicles remain in the ownership of ADTPT.
• Adopters consent that any personal information provided can be used by the Trust for the purposes of administering the scheme and, where consent was given, for those purposes defined within our Privacy Policy. We aim to have names listed on the Online Collections within 10 working days from the point of purchase.
